Without one of these you are probably guessing what you are doing and get some unpredictable results.
Using one of them will improve your overall success and help you enjoy better-tasting wine.
It was hard to find one with some good ratings and customer reviews.
I think however that the ones I found here represent a few of the better ones.

Digital pH Meter

PH Meter for Wine Making – My Opinion
There are probably more pH meters for wine-making that are even better than the ones I mention here. However, we are talking about people who have wine-making as a hobby and do not run professional operations.
The so-called professional pH meters cost so much money that most of us could not afford them or are not willing to spend that amount of money on a pH meter.

My pH meter recommendation
The reason that I recommend the Apera instruments pH meter is because I spent a few hours reading through customer reviews and compared many of them.
After narrowing it down to the r best pH meters that I review here on this page my end conclusion is that Apera is my personal choice.
Although you could argue that it might be because of the higher price compared to the other two this is not the main reason.
The many great reviews and ratings are where I based my decision on
